Hi

I'm trying to find a decent media player app for my FLAC (and a few
mp3) files.
However I'm having real trouble finding any that have a working Fast
Forward and Rewind function.

With SoftSqueeze, no versions that I've tried (3.4 on XP and 3.3 on
Vista) will Ffwd or Rew properly.
With mp3, it stutters along but ends up in a distorted mess after
pressing play. With FLAC, SQ just sits there in silence displaying
"Scan x2" and the progress bar halted - and it usually needs to be
killed. :-(
My SB3's Ffwd/Rew scanning function sort of works OK by hiccuping
along, but at least it seems to recover playback well. I'd have
expected it be much more limited than when using players with local
files, but it seems to be the other way round.

With Windows Media Player 11 and the FLAC plugin, it has no Ffwd/Rew
function, but the player just hangs if you move the seek bar.

With Foobar2k again there is no Ffwd/Rew function but at least the seek
bar works flawlessly.
However I'd prefer proper Ffwd/Rew functions so that I can utilise my
Windows Media Centre remote.

Is there another media player that has some decent functionality or is
there something fundamentally wrong with my ripping/setup etc.?
