Currently, I'm really loving the mixers provided by Erlands plugins - press and hold play on any artist, album, genre or playlist, and get options to custom skip, browse by selected or trackstat. I haven't really used this before.
I've noticed a few minor issues though: 1. Mixers don't work correctly on "Various Artists" menu. I guess it is selecting the first various artist album, rather than all various artist albums. 2. I like the "similar to artist" option. If I hit play on any item in the heirarchy from the "similar to <artist>" menu downwards, it seems to queue up 20 random tracks. I am finding that that is useful to select random music that is similar to the selected artist, but it's not a dynamic playlist (it doesn't add new tracks over time). If I drill down to an album by a similar artist, it is likely that I want to just play the album, not random tracks from it. I have found that I can then call up the "browse by selected" on the similar artist (or similar artist album), and from there play the album normally, but my feeling is that "similar to artist" should play/queue artists/albums/songs normally, and use a mixer if I want to play a random selection. 3. TrackStat mixer - Depending on the context, there can be up to 96 menus to wade through! They're all good, but it would be nice if these could be grouped like the normal TrackStat plugin menus.
