Sounds great! I've never tried to build up a playlist with with CD
tracks but now I tested with the patched plugin on RasPi/Linux and yes
it works (no error logs)! I've built up an opml with "only tracks" from
one CD and also mixed up with local and online (Spotify) libs. 

By the way, I tried to play different songs on different squeeze players
from one CD in different rooms. The laser unit then has to work a lot
and the DVD drive becomes noisy - but it works!

Yes, with with freedb it's really a pity! gnudb works in other
applications fine for me and good to know that you plan to update. But
also MusicBrainz in the CDplayer Plugin does its job!
