that complicated, it is more the size as I have a lot of network devices (smart home). The question is if some special network services are needed, how this "Spotify Connect service advertising" works. Is it based on multicast, Bonjour, ...?
I believe it's mdns (port 5353/udp). But I'm relying blindly on librespot here...
As I already mentioned on my mobile phone it works well, but all other mobile phones on the same WLAN can't see the players as Spotify Connect. That is why I think it is not network related...
Your phone is signed in with the same credentials as the daemon. That's why you see it, but not the others. And didn't you say that the "automatic" authentication using the Spotify app didn't work? That again would fail if the announcement didn't work.
