I have that plugin installed and had the same thought last night.
Unfortunately, when the pCP Pi is set as a stand alone player with no
Wi-Fi connection, none of the tracks it plays are stored in the 'What
Was That Tune?' log.  In fact, when disconnected from Wi-Fi or LAN, LMS
doesn't even show the 'What Was That Tune?' option under the 'My Apps'
menu.

Guess this again is down to there being no date time parameter available
in the Pi when it doesn't have network access?
