Yes! If I let a track play for a while then pause and resume work from
the correct place no jumping ahead to a different place in the audio.
However I was confused by the track timing indicator which does still
jump forward usually to the end and then counts up past the duration of
the song when you resume play.

So my mistake (sorry!) was when checking yesterday I was hitting pause
straight away to see what happened :( 

Letting the song play for 10-15 secs, then pause and resume work in the
correct place in the audio.
