Hi Felix, I'm not too sur what this xilinx chip is about, but I did what you suggested: reprogramming the xilinx chip. And, miracle, the IR-Blaster is now working perfectly fine. (I still have to check with the right IR code for my Onkyo amplifier, but it looks like it is sending IR signals)
Thank you for your advice - I imagined many reasons for the SB3 not working, but not the Xilinx thing. Thank you also for going into a shop and trying the Logitech SB3: this prooved that this was not related to Logitech version.
