And just to complete the thought. We don't use a high value for waitusb by default since that slows down the boot process for those that are using microsd cards. In general booting from USB is a bit slower that microSD, but I use the boot from USB too, where the pi is installed in a case where I cannot get at the SD card. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM.
