I just tried asking LMS to play Absolute Radio with this URL https://stream-ar.planetradio.co.uk/absoluteradiohigh.aac?direct=true and I get the pre-roll announcement about the change.
However, when I play it via my beta plugin ... I do not get the pre-roll. So - for now at least - it looks like the plugin will be safe. If you want to try the beta then drop me a PM.
