One reason is that the information in the headers is just limited to the last thing you selected. As an example, let's say that you have music by an artist which has made one album in the "Pop" genre and another album in the "Rock" genre. If you browse down into the Genres menu by selecting "Pop" and then "Artist1", the shown header will display information about all albums by "Artist1", not just those that are within the "Pop" genre. My feeling is that this behaviour can be useful since it makes it possible browse to find an artist and then find out other related stuff about this artist from the header information. However, I'm not sure if this would be a good behaviour in the "dynamic tags" menus. It would mean that when you clicked on "Matching Albums" it shown the header for "Beethoven" if this was the last thing you clicked on before "Matching Albums" and the header for genre "Classical" if that was the last thing you clicked on. I think it would be possible for me to change the "dynamic tags" menu so it works this way, but would it be usable if it worked like this ? I'm guessing that what you expect is that the header would only show information about those tracks/albums that matches everything you selected before you selected "Matching Albums" and not just the last thing selected ? vrobin;220300 Wrote: > Furthermore, I'd like to see the selected name in the breadcrumb, is > this possible? The main reason it hasn't been implemented yet is that the only solutions I have found so far is: 1. Execute an extra SQL query for each item in the breadcrumb. The problem with this is that it would result in poor performance. 2. Send the breadcrumb texts as part of the url. The result with this is that it would result in very long urls which might not even work if they get too long. The standard SlimServer menus uses solution 1, but its queries is a lot simpler and faster than some of the SQL queries used by Custom Browse. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.homeip.net) 'My download page' (http://erland.homeip.net/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library and RandomPlayList plugins' (http://wiki.erland.homeip.net/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35420 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
