Hello everyone, I'm brand new here. I just got a SB3 and am loving it. I looked through the plugins directory and searched the forums, but couldn't find what I wanted.
I'm looking for something that will scroll text across the display. For instance, my friends are coming to town this weekend so I want it to scroll, "Joe and Katie, welcome to Detroit!" Like those displays at banks or motor vehicle departments. I was sort of able to hack the "snow" screensaver to change the text to what I wanted. However, it doesn't support lower case and I don't want it to snow (it is 90 degrees outside!). I just want it to display the text. The preference would be side scrolling. If nothing exists to do this I guess I'll have to write my own. That said, what editor are people using to modify the PERL scripts? I opened snow.pm in notepad and it was ugly!
