hi everyone (and i hope felix mueller, also! ;-) i am a very happy user of the amp switch plugin. together with the circuit i made it works like a charm.
soon, i will install my 2. SB3 and i need a 2. amp switch. but i just discovered that amp switch has been replaced by power switch II. here are my questions: 1. can i use amp switch with one SB3 and power switch II with another SB3 on the same slimserver? i suspect not, because if i remember correctly amp switch had inverse switching characteristics and used an PNP transistor instead (i know i could simply open the switch and check, but i am too lazy to take my entire hifi-cabinet apart. ;-) 2. if they are not compatible due to inverse switching, i should be able to change it simply by changing the source code, no? or by biasing the new NPN transistor to posivite rather than negative (as it is in power switch II)? 3. and if all fails, is there any place i can still get the amp switch plugin to avoid having to rip out my old amp switch? thanks for your help people! :-) dom -- dcote ------------------------------------------------------------------------ dcote's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9701 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=38406 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
