Thanks for the reply Michael. As I mentioned before I'm not a programmer
so I honestly do not know how a programmer would go about setting this
up so a server would know which songs go together. But there may be
some common things that might make it possible to create something that
will accomplish what I've discribed.

For example, as I mentioned above, most live recording such as the ones
posted on the Live Music Archive denote songs that flow together with a
">" apended to the end of the song title. (For an example see this link
http://www.archive.org/details/gd84-06-14.aud.goodbear.sbefail.shnf) If
the server can be made to read the tags of a file as it's making the
playlist it could then evaluate whether the title of the track ends
with a ">", and if so then it would presumably know that the next song
on the album goes together with it and could then add it as the next
track in the playlist.

Another thought would be to set an actual marker at the end of the
filename for the track so that the server could search for that marker
in the filename instead of the song title. For example: d1t01-.flac The
server could look for the "-" at the end of the file name and if found
add d1t2.flac next in the playlist.

Like I said I'm not a programmer and haven't the slightest idea how one
would write the code to do this. But it does seem that there could be
certian idrntifying markers that the server could look for whick would
tip it off that two songs in the album go together.
