There is already a number of wiki pages for plugins. If authors are updating them, it's not fair to expect them to maintain their own announcement threads, update wiki page and another sticky thread. If they aren't then I expect it's already too much to ask ;) Anyone can edit the wiki, and it's my feeling that it should be kept at the one central info source:
