The problem is that each plugin developer is expected to update the release information in several places. For me personally releasing a plugin means: 1. Mark the release in my version control system 2. Build and make the release available on my download page with some description about the release 3. Announcing the release in the appropriate announcement thread here in the 3rd party plugins forum with some description about the release 4. Updating the wiki page with the new information, for example the date and supported SS/SC versions. I understand that users really would like one list to be available in one place that were always updated. However, if this should happen that place needs to replace one of the existing places, adding another page somewhere will just make the information even more inconsistent. Another issue is that everyone doesn't want to run beta versions of plugins, so these must be marked in some special way. At the moment I think all plugins available for SC7 can be considered beta versions since SC7 isn't officially released yet. If you are unsure about the compatibility of a specific plugin, the easiest way to get the information is to post a question here in the 3rd party plugins forum. The plugin developer or someone that knows about the compatibility status will often give you an answer pretty fast. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.homeip.net) 'My download page' (http://erland.homeip.net/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.homeip.net/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=38997 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
