Hi Brian, I'm as frustrated with this as you are. Time spent elsewhere would undoubtably be more productive. However, if it helps, here is what I've found that works. For SC, on the tray icon right click and uncheck any auto-start options. Uninstall the MIP service (if installed headless - does not work). first time only - go to task manager and quit any running process's that have anything to do with SC or MIP. Navigate to root\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp - delete all SC related folders and files. Navigate to root\WINDOWS\temp - delete all SC related folders and files. Navigate to D:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter\server\Cache - delete the entire content. Reboot. Start MIP GUI only - not the windows service. In MIP navigate to Options/Services start the API if not started by the GUI. Start SC. SC see's that the filecache has been cleared and will initiate a full scan. ok...that's done, should not have to rescan unless add music. In my case 46,000 + files, takes about 2 hours to complete. Mix icons will not show for SC/My Music/Music Folder. Artists,Albums,Genres,New Music,New Music should show mix icons. I've noticed that after this painfully convoluted and time consuming process that the mix works according to your preference set up in SC server settings. However, on reboot, wait a few minutes for the mix function or you may get an empty playlist. Hope this works for you. Cheers bud. . -- haunyack Transporter -> B&K R200.2 -> Vandersteen 3A Signature.
