Firstly, thanks to everyone involved with Alien BBC : it is very impressive. The problem I have is that I cannot get mplayer to play real media files, so naturally Alien BBC remains silent! I'm using SUSE 10.3 (64 bit) on an Intel Q6600. mplayer plays other files fine, and both RealPLayer and VLC work fine to play Real media. Bizarrely even Konqueror works, despite throwing an error that it doesn't recognize the filetype... I've had a fair go at persuading mplayer to work, trying codecs from different places and recompiling, but to no effect (I get no error message, it just waits in silence for a keypress then says 'stopped').
So I thought maybe it would be easier to ask AlienBBC to use VLC as a helper. Has anyone tried it? Can anyone point me towards how to do it? Many thanks, Charles. -- cmcevoy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cmcevoy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14076 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40431 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
