Correct the DS207 is 266Mhz but in my case I am running on the DS207+ which runs at 500Mhz. This still may not be sufficient but flipflip has got Alien to work on less powerful synology boxes so it should be feasible.
I had a look at the uptime of the box and it was a little high at 1.38 when browsing the menu and 1.15 when settled and playing mp3 radio but then I quit a hanging vi session and the values dropped to near zero. When attempting the encode flac the results for uptime are: zambia> uptime 22:18:49 up 18 days, 13:28, load average: 0.27, 0.12, 0.29 So nothing out of the ordinary.
