I've reproduced the problem on Linux. Not sure what the reason is but mplayer process is not being killed. Can't be sure but it looks like the problem if you pause a stream and then start another a different one.
I think double sound happens with SoftSqueeze is because it is not clearing its buffer when paused and then a new stream starts. Has this been seen on Windows or is it only Linux and OSX users ?
