A bit unfair on the SB since it cannot change your network. The
problem is just as likely due to the SB being *thrown* a wobbly by
Windows or a user.

This assumption could be true except for the AlienBBC problems.
AlienBBC terminates streams in the PC which means the problem is in the
PC networking - a possibility is SS/SC not being able to use DNS.

Back to info gathering

What version of SS/SC ?
Although not stated explicitly I presume PC is running SS/SC ?
I presume you have a router/modem and it has IP 192.168.1.1 - can you
confirm whether it is a modem or a router and it is connected to PC
with Ethernet and not USB.

Can you describe the toplogy of the network (e.g. Router, WAP,
wired/wireless SB, what is connected to PC wired interface ? what is
connected to PC wireless interface ?)

Your PC has two principal network interfaces (LAN3 and Wireless) - do
you have ICS enabled ?
