I recall when you have the plugin installed in the wrong place, then correct it, that the cache files need to be removed while SqueezeCentre is stopped in order for it to work.
In particular the plugin-data.yaml (or plugin-cache.yaml?) file has some out-of-date information in it that needs to be cleared.
