Sorry my previous reply wasn't too clear - partially because I didn't really understand what you're trying to do.
I think CDplayer uses cdda2wav to read CD's on linux through the CDROM block device usually setup as /dev/cdrom. This may vary between distro but in principle cdda2wav uses an Linux CDROM device driver. I believe, but I could be wrong, the /dev/cdrom type device can only be on the host system and there is no way you can set up remote access to /dev/cdrom. If you know a way to set up a CD drive on a remote system (e.g. your Ubuntu server) so that standard Unbuntu CD playing applications (e.g. XMMS) on your local system (e.g. your Ubuntu laptop) can use it - please describe the setup and I'll see what I can do with CDplayer. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=47288 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
