I used to have a 32bit chroot set up for slimserver and mplayer (with the w32codecs package) to be able to use alienbbc. Since the end of last year there is a w64codecs package available and now squeezecenter and mplayer and alienbbc run natively on 64 bit. I use deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org etch main in my sources.list file for anything mplayer, etc related.
