Thanks for the reply. I must be dense. I downloaded the files and neither file had any reference to any jive applet extensions (*.lua) or string.txt.
I tried to install them anyway. Having problems I then did a factory reset and installed all the other applets without any problems. I then tried to create it's own plugin directory ( AlbumeReviewPlugin and BiographyPlugin ) similar to the other working applets sub folder structure and that didn't work as well. I then removed the non-applet albumreview and biography directories and re-tried everything from above, still no joy. I must be doing something wrong and any advice will be appreciated.
