I've been looking for a remote control solution for over 2 years, for my growing SqueezeBox network. I've gone through options trying a RF remote, Windows mobile devices, and both web and native apps on a couple different Windows tablet PCs. But I have never found the right combination of features and hardware form factor.
I bought a SB Controller as soon as it became available separately last month. I thought I finally found the answer, as the Controller is a very nice device, and works quite well. But unfortunately one of the primary requirements for my solution is the ability to control the SB network from outside on my patio, and the Controller's screen just doesn't cut it outside. I now think the solution has arrived. I read about iPeng here, and decided to pick up an iPod Touch yesterday. It was so simple to get iPeng running, and it works very well. It's a little slow, and seems to lose it's mind every once in awhile, but what a great job you have done. Thank you very much Pippen.
