Is MusicIP doing something during the import ? For example performing analyzing or are you setting ratings in MusicIP while the import is performed ?
The 32 seconds looks strange since you don't have any timeout message before, so I suspect there might be something that triggers a SqueezeCenter rescan towards MusicIP which confuses the import.
