Answers: 

1) A variety of listen again programs primarily n 7 and 4 but I also
tried some bbc1. If i listen using xplayer then no rebuffering.

2) Here you have immediately isolated the probable cause - the
rebuffering message is on the display. Therefore you say the problem is
between the SBs (because they all have the same broblem (I have 3 SB3
and one Duet reciever) and the QNAP. All four are Cat5e hardwired - so
the issue is not wireless. I have a DLINK DIR 655, and last time, to
get BBC to work at all i turned off the rtsp setting on the appligation
level gateway. I saw other suggestions and turned off QoS with no luck.
If you have a suspicioon of what areas might be the problem I can
google some solutions.

3. No problem occurs even without synching

I followed flipflip's FAQ suggestions:

RTSP
Flac Disabled
MP3 Disabled
WAV mplayer-stdout

I need to find how to perform the Network Test and I will give you the
results later.
