Network test reports 100% solid at only(?) 256kbps -high 90's at 320kpbs, falls away fairly quickly thereafter. Same result when tested on short LAN cable directly to router.
Are my concerns with LAME & Mplayer red-herrings? Music library recorded as .ogg files -plays perfectly; other radio streams, obviously not the same as BBC, but unknown format plays just fine. (Alas no great desire to listen to American radio!) Hopefully this won't appear twice..........
