Cool, Peter. I will keep your plugin in mind if I ever have a need for
more detailed logging.

Erland: Here's some background. The vast majority of of my music is
already rated, and my rating system goes like this:
5 - Most loved songs.
4 - Favorites.
3 - Like it enough to hear in mixes.
2 - Don't want in mixes, only play in album context.
1 - Collectible stuff that I generally don't care to listen to often; I
just like having it.
0 - Hubby's music. He never listens to mixes so doesn't need or want
ratings.

So when I get new music, it gets a 3 rating to start and then either
goes up or down from there once it goes through the listen test. Most
of my dynamic playlists are based on a rating of 3 or higher, so rating
tracks higher is not as important to me as rating the bad ones lower. I
can usually remember the ones I like and they will still get played in
mixes either way. So most of the time I need to adjust the rating down
because I don't want to have the song in mixes.

>>Are you just skipping tracks which should get low ratings and like to
add them to a log so you can set a low rating on them later in JRMC ?<<

Pretty much.

>>Or are you really interested in the last tracks which you've set a
rating on in SqueezeCenter so you can set the same rating in JRMC ?<<

I've never changed ratings in SC because I didn't think JRMC would pick
up the changes. Do Trackstat rating changes get written back to the file
tags? If so, I could experiment with the watched folders option in JRMC
to see if it will sync them up. That would be ideal.

>>Do you skip tracks you like to add to the log directly or do you also
sometimes skip them at the end of the track ?<<

Probably most often in the first half of the song.

If TrackStat could give a list of rating changes, that would be great,
and it would make the logging of skipped tracks a moot issue.
