What you could do is remove the day of week entries from the top of the menus. The perl code was written with some degree of customisation of the menus in mind - just by editing the menu.opml file. For each entry in the menu.opml file, there is a parser entry. This includes a number of optional params after the ? - remove the "byday&" and it should remove the by day menus from the list. Its possible this is due to getting different information for the lw vs fm version of radio4 but I am not sure. > > I know this is frivolous but.... However there is some time to fetch and decode the bbc xml feed for each station. This can take up to a second, but depends on the performance of your server. Not sure much can be done about this.
