Strange one this. I'm running a Squeezebox 3 with the latest
SqueezeCenter running on Ubuntu 8.04. All works just fine.
I'm using saverswitcher to cycle between two screen savers for the
"off" mode: Weathertime, and the built-in RSS reader. This also works
just fine, showing about 5 minutes of weather, and about a minutes
worth of RSS feed (which is actually a home-brew feed showing the
number of unread emails for the families various email accounts). All
works remarkably smoothly, until I try to turn on the Squeezebox to
play some music.
The display then goes blank, and stays that way, not responding to the
IR remote at all, for up to a minute. The longer the player has
previously been "off", the longer the delay. Then, as though nothing
has happened, the player suddenly displays the normal startup splash
screen ("Free your music", etc) and starts responding to the IR again.

My software Versions:
SqueezeCenter: 7.2
SaverSwitcher: 7a9
WeatherTime: r108.mavit (version r108, with a fix from "Mavit" to
support SC7.2)
Using the RSS reader or Weathertime alone as the "off" screensaver
seems to work just fine. It appears to be the combination of the two
together with saverswitcher that seems to cause this.
I'm a real newbie with squeezecenter, and my Perl is very limited, so
any suggestions on how to progress this would be appreciated. Thanks!
