Normal SqueezeCenter behavior is that syncing up with another player simply discards the playlist on the "slave", and after leaving a sync group, a player has a copy of the playlist from the "master". As noted in the beta forum, I just posted a new version of SyncOptions, version 7a11 with a new feature for restoring the playlist of a Squeezebox when it leaves a sync group. Thanks to Jonnio for the idea.
SyncOptions will now always save a Squeezebox's playlist just before it joins a sync group. If you enable the new "restore playlist after unsyncing" feature, SyncOptions will, well, restore the previous playlist when the Squeezebox leaves the sync group. SyncOptions always saves the playlist before the sync, so even if you disable the restore option, you can manually restore the playlist when you want to (the saved playlists have names like "SyncOptions-Player Name-00_04_20_11_22_33").
