Ok, I think I now understand what's going on here... a confusing combination of settings:
- configure MIS to display all this nice stuff - set "customize playlist" to "use screensaver settings" - set the player's screensaver to "Now playing" (_not_ to MIS!) That's showing your symptoms. Don't do this :-). If MIS is used to customize Now Playing playlist, it doesn't read buffer, play time etc., as this usually is only available for the currently playing track. You should use MIS as the screensaver instead. This is working fine.
