I guess it depends on the tagger you are using, but you should be able to keep your reviews in the comment tag and also your custom tag.
I use J. River Media Center (there is a free, audio-only version called Mediajukebox if you want to check it out) and it puts all custom tags into comments. So, bios, reviews, keywords... it all goes into comments and SqueezeCenter picks it up automatically. I use keywords for the Russ_Lib tag and J. River lets you add multiple keywords for a file. Squeezecenter sees it all as one big comment, but the different custom tags are separated with a / character. And, yes, I can browse the full library normally. I use ratings to designate my music, so that is another custom browse menu I have set up. Then I have an SQL playlist for songs that overlap, so I can do mixes of songs we both like. If I wanted a new collection, I would just create another custom keyword tag and set up a custom browse menu for it.
