Funny, I'm having a similar problem with SoftSqueeze - at some point in the past (a month or two ago?) it was working fine. I'm currently on MacOS X 10.4.11, SqueezeCenter Version: 7.2.1 - 23630, and SoftSqueeze claims version 3.7 based on the title of the menu.
Now, when I launch SoftSqueeze, it starts up, and if I go to the web interface for SqueezeCenter I'm able to play sounds through the SoftSqueeze device. However, I do not see any player UI from the SoftSqueeze java process itself. I know when I originally ran SoftSqueeze awhile back, I was able to see a SB skin and a Transporter skin. Now I don't see anything at all, except the "SoftSqueeze 3.7" menu to the right of the apple menu, with Is there any way to get the player skin back? I couldn't find anything in the SqueezeCenter web UI, nor anything in the SoftSqueeze UI, to get the player UI back. I even tried deleting the .plist (org.titmuss.softsqueeze.plist) from my Preferences folder then re-running SoftSqueeze, no luck there.
