After watching for a while, this is my first post - so hello to you all.
I now have my Squeezebox Duet up and running on a Linkstation Pro (awesome system), but without BBC radio it's only really half a stereo. I've been hacking away at the AlienBBC plug-in for about a week now, and am getting close to exhausting all avenues that I can find. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Because the linkstation doesn't have a sound device itself I have modified the custom-convert.conf file according to flipflip's instructions to redirect output to files, etc. AlienBBC appears in the menus okay, downloads and queues programs and live streams from the BBC - but there's just no sound at all, the logs indicate that there's trouble in either accepting or starting the streams but I don't know why. The AlienBBC plugin is version 2.2b-7.1_7.2 and pretty much all files permissions are set to a+rwx for now to eliminate any access problems. I've followed some links from these forums to download and configure mplayer and the necessary codecs, and the file types from the advanced settings look good. I'm not totally sure player is set up correctly as without a sound device on the linkstation it's hard to test. Here are the system details: SqueezeCenter Version: 7.2.1 - 23630 @ Mon Oct 20 19:54:08 PDT 2008 - Debian - EN - utf8 Server IP address: 192.168.1.67 Perl Version: 5.8.8 arm-linux-gnu-thread-multi MySQL Version: 5.0.51a-15~bpo40+1 Platform Architecture: armv5tel-linux Hostname: dcnas1 Server Port Number: 9000 Total Players Recognized: 1 After enabling debugging for AlienBBC and player.source I ran squeezecenter from the command line and collected the stdout into sc.log, also attached is sc_server.log which is a copy of /var/log/squeezecenter/server.log.
