I have an older Marantz PM-66SE amplifier with remote in jack. I tried to connect to this from the IRBlaster/Headphone out on the SB and it didn't work. If I remember correctly it is something to do with the frequency of the signals coming out of the SB and the cable not splitting the signal into discrete remote and power(?) commands. I gave up at this point. Somebody with a better understanding of electronics may be able to help you more as I believe it can be done.
