Closing a browser window does not stop SqueezeCenter.  You can
generally think of Squeezecenter running either as a service or in the
background. IT is normally started (dependent on confguration) on
system startup or user login. There is usually a helper application
(separate from Squeezecenter)  in the system tray which can be used to
stop / start Squeezecenter.
