To specifically answer your question, yes, it is possible.  The command
line that SrvrPowerCtrl executes to initiate suspending can point to
anything, including your own script.  It just has to be executable by
the squeezecenter user via permissions in /etc/sudoers.  

So yes, you could write a script that umounts before calling
pm-suspend.  However, SrvrPowerCtrl, at this stage in it's development,
doesn't have a clue when a system comes out of suspend.  So it's not
like it will be smart enough to remount the qnap's share when the
system wakes up.  

So, I'd try the methods outlined in the previous posts.  They're
independent of SrvrPowerCtrl and directly tied into the suspend/wake
events on your system.
