I think the confusion here is the difference between displaying RSS Feeds as a screensaver and displaying them through Home > Extras > RSS Feeds > $someFeedName. In screensaver mode, RSS Feeds does not offer any button control, and pressing an arrow button will do nothing (if the Squeezebox is off) or kick you out of the screenaver mode (if the Squeezebox is on and playing or idle). On the other hand (and I didn't know this before investigating your note), if you get to the RSS Feeds from Home > Extras > RSS Feeds, then you can use arrows to cycle through headlines and text at your own pace. I think most of the built-in screensavers behave this way. Many months ago, I recall a conversation on the forums in which I mentioned using buttons to cycle through information displayed by the SuperDateTime screensaver. Some senior Logitech/Slim Devices staff (Dean?) expressed surprise that there were such "interactive" screensavers. I would love it if the RSS Feeds screensaver allowed arrow navigation -- as it is, I can only stand to read one or two headlines in RSS screensaver mode before I lose patience & give up. The RSS Feeds plugin is *much* better in the interactive (Home > Extras) mode! I just opened an enhancement request asking that manual control be added to the RSS screensaver mode. Please vote for it if you agree.
