As you say importing from the squeezecenter database is just one option, muso doesn't rely on it. For now though I'll just try to keep it up-to-date with the latest squeezecenter database but look to make it backwards compatible to version 7.0.0. Changing to SQLlite might be a challenge though!

After an import it will show a little window and try to find artwork for every new (full) album that it has imported, but you can cancel this process. It looks in these places in this order: 1) iTunes Album Browser cache - my old product with iTunes integration only 2) Image file in the song's folder 3) Cover embedded into mp3 id3 tags 4) last.fm api search 5) amazon web service search Perhaps something is going wrong with this process for you.
