Geno, after installing the files did you go to your SB to Extras->EQ and try to initiate the EQ? You have to do that, then completely shut down and restart SC. If the EQ is not even showing up on the SB try to shut down and restart SC for this as well.
Is EQ in the Plugins screen checked? Yes, the Settings link does not work.
