Hi, I've spent ages playing with this problem and can't resolve it. I've found a number of similar posts but only with older version some time ago. This is my setup..
Readynas duo RAIDiator 4.1.4 Moose v0.7 Squeezecenter 7.3 - 24282 MySQL Version: 5.0.24a-Debian_3.infrant1 I've followed the setup instructions on http://www.rusticrhino.com/drlovegrove/setup.html to no avail. As I have all the latest software versions I believe I should not have to do any manual editing of files but I have checked the my.cnf on the readynas and the bind-address line is commented out ( # bind-address = 127.0.0.1) as it should be to connect to a remote system. CLI is enabled on squeezecenter (ticked and greyed out, I think this must be default on this build) and everything else in Moose seems fine, I can connect via the 'Folders' rather than 'MySQL DB' and I can properly control my squeezebox using Moose. This is the error I get when configuring the preferences to use MySQL DB... "Problem connecting to MySql server: Unable to connect to any of the specified MySql hosts......." Anyone any ideas please?! I'm stumped. It may help if I can find a log file for mysql, where is it? I can't see anything when I use "download all logs" in Frontview. Moose looks really good so I hope I can get this working properly. Any input appreciated!
