The Items which you have been trying to play are not "playable" - On Boom display - they have no musical note symbol on right hand side. The arrow on right hand side of display indicates it is a menu and not playable.
BBC radio programs are accesses through BBC iPlayer ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/ ). AlienBBC uses the iPlayer menus to make the menu you see on Boom / WebUI. A lot of iPlayer features (e.g. better quality MP3 streams) are only available if you are in the UK.
