When I run the command you mention, it returns me to the command prompt
with no other information. Does that mean it's running fine?

You're right, I copied it from the wiki! I've re-extracted from the
tarball file and then replaced the original mmserver file into the
destination folder, updating the USER and MUSICHOME information and
re-run the command...

Code:
--------------------

  sudo cp home/zipper/MusicIP/mmserver /etc/init.d/

--------------------

I then rebooted, but didn't find MusicIP under Settings/Plugins in SC.
I thought I should try and launch it from the Terminal, but I get the
message

Code:
--------------------

  sudo mmserver
  sudo: mmserver: command not found

--------------------

So I tried specifying the path, but still didn't get it going...

Code:
--------------------

  sudo /home/zipper/MusicIP/mmserver
  /home/zipper/MusicIP/mmserver: 1: #!: not found
  Usage: /etc/rc.d/init.d/mmserver { start | stop }

--------------------

I'm flummoxed! Thanks for any help!
