If Extension Downloader (ED) was used to install a plugin - then the proper way to uninstall is to use Extension Downloader to mark plugins for removal, click apply and then restart SC.
If it worked then there should be no CDPlayer directory in the Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugin directory. If you have changed ownership / permission of files in CDPlayer - it is possible that ED wull not have been able to delete them all - so check. There are two other files that could be deleted - in playlist (or cache if playlist dir not defined) directory cdplayerCDTOC.opml and in the prefs/plugin directory cdplayer.prefs The SC user also has to be able to execute the cdda2wavosx.sh script in CDplayer/Bin and write into the Cache and prefs directories.
