The newer versions of the plugin may be indeed be using more resources (or not giving them up once used) - but as I said above I was unable to stream FLAC using Inguz to 2 SB3s simultaneously with no stuttering (much less stopping) of music on an XP machine far below your machine's capacity.
I would look for conflicts or efficiencies elsewhere before assuming your machine is underpowered - but many people that use Inguz regularly are far more adept with software interactions than I am. That being said - if it truly is a processing power issue - upgrade. The benefits of using Inguz far outweigh the few hundred bills it would cost you to buy a new box these days. I would even suggest that the hours spent tweaking such things to try to get them to work on an older box are not worth the time and frustration given the current marketplace for new PCs. -- esbrewer Server: 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo iMac running MacOS 10.5.6 and SC 7.3 Plugins: Inguz DRC, Sirius Radio, Album Review, SqueezeScrobbler Sources: SB3 (2), SB Boom, NAD C542, NAD T515 Amplification: NAD C720BEE Loudspeakers: Paradigm Studio 20 (v.1) Headphones: Grado SR60, Etymotic ER4P http://www.last.fm/user/esbrewer ------------------------------------------------------------------------ esbrewer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12409 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60466 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
