The newer versions of the plugin may be indeed be using more resources
(or not giving them up once used) - but as I said above I was unable to
stream FLAC using Inguz to 2 SB3s simultaneously with no stuttering
(much less stopping) of music on an XP machine far below your machine's
capacity.

I would look for conflicts or efficiencies elsewhere before assuming
your machine is underpowered - but many people that use Inguz regularly
are far more adept with software interactions than I am.

That being said - if it truly is a processing power issue - upgrade. 
The benefits of using Inguz far outweigh the few hundred bills it would
cost you to buy a new box these days.  I would even suggest that the
hours spent tweaking such things to try to get them to work on an older
box are not worth the time and frustration given the current marketplace
for new PCs.
