Hi Graham, I use this on two Ubuntu 8.10 PC's, my home PC and my dedicated headless Tranquil Atom PC with good results.
On the home PC I have an internal PCI tuner and have no problems whatsoever. On the Tranquil PC I have a USB tuner and have a small problem. On the Tranquil when I run dvbserver.pl I cannot use the sudo /usr/bin/pm-suspend command (shutdown works fine). Is there a way of modifiying the dvbserver.pl script to run as a pid so that I can modify the pm-suspend command to kill the pid before attempting to suspend and if I do that will the DVB tuner work when I reconnect? This has interaction issues with the SrvrPwrCtrl plug-in and it may be that I cannot use suspend in this case. Wondered if you have any ideas.
