What OS are you using?

With my Fedora system, when "summer time" (a.k.a. Daylight Savings time
here in the states) rolls around, the OS doesn't change the hardware
clock time. It just changes the "offset" from UTC that the system uses
for computing the local time. So, using a terminal window, *I think*
the following command shows that my hwclock is still set to UTC:

Code:
--------------------

  # hwclock --debug
  hwclock from util-linux-ng 2.14.1
  Using /dev interface to clock.
Last drift adjustment done at 1239439863 seconds after 1969
Last calibration done at 1239439863 seconds after 1969
Hardware clock is on UTC time
Assuming hardware clock is kept in UTC time.
  Waiting for clock tick...
  ...got clock tick
Time read from Hardware Clock: 2009/04/12 01:31:04
  Hw clock time : 2009/04/12 01:31:04 = 1239499864 seconds since 1969
  Sat 11 Apr 2009 07:31:04 PM MDT -0.907622 seconds

--------------------

Could you try that command on your system and post the results?

Also, take a look at the contents of
/var/log/squeezecenter/srvrpowerctrl.log. The last entries in the file
should be something like:

Sat Apr 11 02:50:58 MDT 2009: /usr/bin/scwakeup.sh 1239522900
Setting /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm to 1239522900

Take that epoch value and run it through
http://www.onlineconversion.com/unix_time.htm to see what the GMT (UTC)
time SrvrPowerCtrl is trying to wake your system. Then adjust (in you
head) for your offset and see if it's trying to wake the system at the
correct time. In my case, SrvrPowerCtrl is waking my system up at 1:55
AM local time (I'm UTC -6) for the "End of day" event...which in my case
is programmed to run a script which does some system maintenance. So,
everything is as is should be with my system.

If you're willing to do some testing, we'll get to the bottom of this.

For now, try setting an alarm for 10 minutes in the future and then use
SrvrPowerCtrl to suspend the system. Does it wake up at the appropriate
time? Yea or nea, post the end of
/var/log/squeezecenter/srvrpowerctrl.log and we'll start debugging
this.
