Just using the regular Windows Vista firewall - so it is enabled to listen on any port and from anywhere else (inside my home network). However, 8080 would be a problem because I have something else listening on that. I stopped the other app temporarily - started WhiteBear ... but it did not make it appear to UPnP devices (however, it might have stopped the crash that I reported to you via email). I have other UPnP-AV server apps running on same machine (Windows Vista standard MS stuff plus Asset from dBpoweramp folks) - and they are discoverable. (re 31415 - I think it is 31459) AndrewFG;422944 Wrote: > Does Whitebear appear as a UPnP device in "My Network Places"? But just found that running Cidero Media Controller on the same machine and I can find it (along with others). Via Cidero I can browse - but not by artist or year (others do work). Cidero has some useful tracing - but having logging in your app would help work out why it is not visible to my hardware renderers. -- Paul Webster Paul Webster http://www.lastfm.com/user/BondJamesBond ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Paul Webster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=105 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63219 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
